Large independent Ag retail is seeking a General Manager for Western Kentucky. This position will be responsible for the overall financial performance of the location. This will include purchasing, sales, operations, personnel, and profitability. This company is an industry leader in agronomy technology, proprietary products, and seed sales. 


This position will:


  • Sell fertilizer, crop protection products, and seed
  • Provide service that will optimize the company's market share and savings
  • Achieve the Company's mission and goals which will result in outstanding customer service
  • Work with Ownership to establish yearly sales goals
  • Maintain delivery schedules and sales to customers, providing exceptional customer service
  • Make proper recommendations and applications of products sold
  • Assist in developing competitive marketing strategies
  • Provide the service necessary to meet goals and objectives. This includes responding to customer calls promptly, encouraging repeat sales by enhancing the profitability of customers, and maintaining proficiency in retail sales and knowledge of appropriate programs

Qualifications:


  • Two or four year degree in Agribusiness, or related program or equivalent previous experience
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer knowledge

Soybean Seed Production Plant Operations Manager #2821 (Northwest - Illinois)

Seeking hands on soybean seed production plant manager that will be strong on the operational side of the business.


The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Eastern Iowa farming community, and have experience conditioning, bagging, testing and warehousing soybean seed.  This position requires a "Take Charge" type of person that can think on their feet and make decisions.  This person does not need prior seed plant manager experience but must have seed production experience. A farm background is preferred.  This position will hire, train and supervise office personnel and 6 full-time and several seasonal employees.  


Soybean Production Plant Manager Responsibilities


  • Quality control procedures
  • Grower recruitment and contracting
  • Production plan development
  • Field inspections
  • Bin sampling
  • Operate & monitor conditioning equipment
  • Operate & monitor packaging equipment
  • Production scheduling
  • Inventory management & warehousing
  • Manages other activities as required

Education and Job Experience Desired
