Our client, a manufacturer of tractors, lawn, and recreation equipment with a rapidly expanding product line, is in need of a Territory Manager to grow/manage the dealer network throughout the Delta Region. States covered include LA and MS.  This position would be responsible for managing the dealer network as well as promotion of the brand in order to attract new customers and dealers. Experience covering a territory and setting up new dealerships is a must. Excellent salary, commission schedule, company car as well as benefits included.

A successful candidate will:
  • Travel extensively (80%+) throughout the territory representing the company
  • Manage dealer network and evaluate high/low performers
  • Promote growth of current dealerships as well as find new ones
  • Manage budgets and forecast sales figure
  • Attend and work regional/national trade shows

Agronomy Sales #2727 (West Central - Ohio)

Work hours vary depending on the season. Normal hours are 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. Spring and fall hours are variable. You are expected to spend the time necessary to service all your accounts, including part-time farmers, and to help keep the fertilizer plants operating efficiently. Work hours during the busy season will be coordinated with the Agronomy Manager. Sunday hours will be required depending on the spring season.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Report to agronomy manager and report a minimum of 3-5 daily sales calls
  • Build and maintain relationship with all assigned customers from initial contact, through to sale, and follow up, as necessary
    • Meet with existing and potential customers
    • Includes prospecting and cold calls
  • Develop agronomy plans for current customers
  • Utilize seed programs and grow the seed business 
    • Includes test plots and side by sides
  • Create written estimates, based on needs of customer, and finalize the sale
  • Maintain customer files/records/history/contracts/agreements
  • Coordinate with others reps the delivery of customer appreciation holiday gifts.
  • Research and write two articles for the quarterly newsletter
    • Product pricing and promotion
    • Growing season news and notes
    • Helpful tips
    • New laws or regs
    • Other pertinent information, etc
  • Attend meetings, seminars, courses, or on-line study to complete Continuing Education credits as needed to maintain licenses and credentials
  • Perform scouting duties for customer base throughout growing season for short and long term product and/or services
    • Identification of weeds/insects/diseases/nutrient deficiencies
    • Determine recommendation of products/services including proper rate and timing
    • Share recommendations with customer and agree on plan of action
  • Complete all order sheets and paperwork for any sales of product or services including deliveries.
    • Fill out order sheets completely and accurately
    • Attach GIS field maps 
    • Work with logistics manager to schedule jobs
  • Work with AR dept with customer questions
  • Follow other management directives for the good of the business and other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have experience in agronomy input sales and a working knowledge of West Central Ohio farm production practices.
