Industry leading seed company is seeking a skilled and experienced  District Sales Manager. This position will be focused on maintaining and building a mutli-channel seed sales territory. The 3 channels consist of farmer direct, reselling farmer dealer, and retail agronomy locations. This territory has established dealers and customers, however the focus will be on building all three channels of sales. Candidates must have a proven history of farm seed sales success and strong agronomy skills. 

This opportunity has very high bonus and base salary potential.  New company truck, computer, cell phone provided as well as all home office expenses. Additional sales tools provided include a large expense account, large competetive seed allowance and industry leading sales and marketing programs that include heavy advertising budgets. The company is willing to invest heavily in this district and committed to a patient, sustaining roadmap of success. 

Only candidates with recent farm seed sales success and a BS degree or higher will be considered.

Agronomist #2663 (State of - Kentucky)

As a field agronomist, you'll support and educate our Client's sales staff, dealers, and customers throughout the growing season with the ultimate goal of helping farmers succeed.  You will aid in decisions on product placement and planting, provide harvest support, train sales staff and dealers on new and current products, and help with in-field troubleshooting.  Our Client is dedicated to delivering a customer experience that is unlike any other, and that starts with you identifying their needs. By reading situations quickly and acting with purpose, you'll improve their customer success and build rewarding relationships through unparalleled customer service.

Education and training:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record 

Technical knowledge:

  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) License
  • Basic computer and current software skills
  • Chauffer license or equivalent required

Physical demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate may be required

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in agronomy is preferred
