Gestation/Breeding Manager #2828 (Southwest - Missouri)

  • Oversee and manage all areas of Gestation and Breeding including the Electronic Sow Feeding system and all associated paperwork, records, and correspondence
  • Ensure that ALL animals across the farm have received proper feed, water, ventilation, and bedding on a daily basis
  • Assisting with all other aspects of the farm to ensure farm goals are met and tasks are completed on a daily basis


  • Ensure synchronization of gilts and sows to meet weekly breeding target
  • Manage quantity and quality of semen
  • Accurate and daily reporting of all breeding records, ultrasounds, and animal movement
  • Managing sow vaccinations (pre-farrowing, pre-breeding)
  • Treating sick animals on a timely as needed basis, recording, and managing withdraw periods for all of gestation
  • Complete ultrasounds at 28-day and 56-day post service, accurately recording and reporting
  • Ensure all animal pens and handling facilities are in good working order, and routinely cleaned
  • Responsible for accurate information in the NEDAP Electronic Sow Feeding system, including but not limited to: Animal Location, Start Service Date, Feed Curves, BCS, Paint and Sort Rules, Heat Check Recordings
  • Review and document all non-fed ESF events and associated reasons
  • Maintain and ensure immediate reporting of any equipment malfunction
  • Calibration and associated recording of ESF system no less than quarterly
  • Oversee training of new gilts into the ESF system
  • Oversee and manage integration of new animals into dynamic and static pens
  • Ensure proper feed, water, ventilation, and bedding of boars across the farm 
  • Proper cleaning and maintenance in and around the ESF stations, gates, and feed plinth
  • Responsible for placing all orders (supplies, vaccines, semen, fuel, bedding, etc.)
  • Compiling accurate production and inventory records
  • Organize and arrange transportation for cull truck
  • Assist in Period Close inventory, cost analysis, and cost control
  • Any other duties as assigned, requested, or directed by management/supervisor


  • B.S. degree in Animal Science or related field, OR minimum of one-year experience in straw-bedded pork production system, OR minimum of two years' experience in traditional pork production.
  • Ability to lead by example, and manage a team of 2-5 people
  • Ability to problem solve, be a critical thinker, goal oriented, and a team player

Our client, a leading pork integrator is looking for someone to take on the role of Finishing Service Manager. This position will oversee the production of both company-managed units and contract finishing operations. In addition this role will have supervisory responsibilities for a nursery site with 2 employees.  This position requires day travel throughout southwestern Indiana. Bilingual a plus. Soybean Seed Production Field Operations Manager #2827 (South Central - Illinois)

The Field Operations Manager reports to the Location Manager, and has direct responsibility for all field activities associated with the production of soybean and wheat seed. These activities include but are not limited to grower recruiting, grower contracting, grower development training, and field production activities.  The Field Operations Manager works closely with the Location Manager to ensure that all processes are conducted in a safe and cost effective manner, and that continuous improvement occurs in all areas of responsibility. The Field Operations Manager works closely with the Plant Operations Manager in order to ensure quantity and quality requests for each customer are met. Other responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Employee safety training and compliance to safety programs.
  • Hire, train, and supervise temporary & seasonal employees.
  • Provide daily supervision of full-time employees working within the field production process.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining the ISO Quality Management System within the field production process.
  • Assist and train growers on proper production techniques needed to ensure good seed quality.
  • Assist in coordinating delivery of bulk seed to the facility.
  • Monitor on-farm storage conditions and acquires bin samples for quality analysis.
  • Supervise scouting of soybean and wheat acres, and supply required customer reporting information.
  • Develop and maintain good grower relationships
